The smart modular parking technology of the demountable freestanding parking deck FastPark^® challenges the crisis and gains its 11th installation in the city of Belgrade.

Belgrade – June 2010. 11th installation Fast Park^® for the Serbian Capital. Located in one of the most famous and crowded places in Belgrade, Slavija Trg, the new parking solves the most critical issues in parking demand of one of the most important urban centralities. A huge number of buildings which host activities from the service sector (Incentive Houses, Retail, Hotels, etc.) and a proportional car parks quantity can now dispose of a brand new parking system with capability 128 car spaces.

Next to record time of works completion, the speed investment. The installation has allowed to JKP Parking Servis, the city owned company engaged for a long time in local parking management, to double the existing parking area in only 30 days. The safety of investment comes along with the cost effectiveness of the system, consequently allowing the highest return on investment conceivable for a parking structure. The payback period of the initial capital expenditure corresponds indeed to a time span of just a few years of parking management. A solution that can afford the problem of parking congestion is simply and dynamically increasing business, despite of the crisis.

This original eco-friendly parking shades concept has been already developed in two different options and successfully installed 2009 in Mérida, Spain.

Fast Park Shades allows to create an additional roof on the top deck parking bays and to boost the parking operators' business. The offer includes the ability to adapt the product to corporate and design needs (e.g. modules inclination, electric vehicles parking spaces and charge options, special fittings to blend with the environment, wherever requested).

Palermo, Fast Park^® opens at a new electrical goods store
The opening of a large Euronics sales outlet in via Pietro Nenni, Palermo (Sicily) was the focus of the final Fast Park^® project to close 2009. The project included the construction and enhancement of a car park to be completed before the end of the year that satisfied the parking and traffic flow needs of a shopping mall. The parking structure adopted by the client, Edilpa SpA, is actually the same one built some years ago in Palermo, a few kilometers from Euronics, inside the Auchan Shopping Centre. The Fast Park^® - Euronics hosting capacity is 100 new car spaces and, since its opening on 7th December, the parking deck has seen record amounts of parking and excellent traffic circulation.

The Parking " Bordeaux Armagnac "
A new facility Fast Park^® will be opened on 26th November in the capital of Aquitaine in France. The car park, known as Parking Bordeaux Armagnac, is located inside the old Halle Sernam near the city station which was originally a depot belonging to the SNCF, the French railways management company.

The Hall, turned into a parking area, is part of a renewal project for the factory which was still to exploit. As the car park is a demountable deck, the project submitted by EFFIA, the french parking and traffic management company, engaged in multimodal solutions, planned to exploit the parking deck for some years. Afterwards, Fast Park^® will be disassembled, each element recycled and the factory will be converted to further use.

Although installed inside a factory, the new parking structure complies totally with local antifire requirements. Features of the ancient hall building in favor of the renewal and conversion into steel parking deck were headroom and height clearance between the columns. As a result, an abandoned building has been reused and its own architectural appearance mitigates the impact of the camouflaged parking unit.

432 new car spaces are now available within the patented modular one storey deck system, 3 of which are at the ground level for electric vehicles. A number of parking lots reserved for car rental services complete the multitasking parking offer.

Second Fast Park^® in Mérida
Following to the opening of a first structure in April 2009, the installation of a second Fast Park^® in Mérida, Spain, has been completed these days. The new city parking is located in the heart of the city- in an area of ancient factories "Maderas Leon" traversia Cervantes nearby. It serves the citizens with 140 new car spaces, respecting all site constraints of a worth seeing area. The former boundaries have been kept, a significant effort in design and execution was required, a careful blend with the environment and a soft impact on the existing structures and vehicles have been achieved.

The use of special beams to support the modular roofing system on the top floor reduces the number of columns and increases the span between the car spaces for better maneuvering.

A versatile, reversible work that has been completed in only sixty days.

Fast Park^® in Mérida
The Go Live of the latest Spanish Fast Park^® installation in Spain will be launched the 23. April in Mérida. The parking is located within the premises of the Polytechnic belonging to the municipality of the city. The project allowed to double the existing car park surface by means of a modular deck system. Total capacity of the new parking is 355 car places.

Mérida is the capital of the autonomous community of Estremadura and preserves more important ancient Roman monuments than any other city in Spain, it has been defined "the Spanish Roma" and because of this, the "Archaeological Ensemble of Mérida" is a World Heritage site. One of the main reasons in favor of choosing Fast Park^® was the compatibility of its foundations system with the presence underground of an archeological site that might be brought to light in the future once the car park is removed and installed elsewhere.

Actually, the possibility to dismantle the freestanding deck and the fact that foundations are friendly choice made the product profitable. Authorization for the implementation and operation has been granted by Ayuntamiento de Mérida to the Car Parking Management Company Cintra Aparcamientos.

A modular roofing system to the top floor has been pre-engineered and installed to be clad with photovoltaic panels.

Fast Park^® in Ravenna
Many years after the first installation in Ravenna (1992), a new modular parking unit without foundations has been completed in the town. The Product Fast Park^® is resulting by many research issues, structural tests and development: the upper deck is treated with a special waterproofing system, finished with steel, asphalt and concrete; the parking deck is provided with claddings to blend with the environment.

Hosting capacity of the new parking deck is 128 car places. Achieved upon request of the Client C.M.R. of Filo, the parking structure has been conceived to serve the parking needs of the Holiday Inn Hotel Ravenna, which is now under construction.

A new Fast Park^® in Messina, Italy
A new parking deck system without foundations has been achieved in Messina, Italy. For the enlargement of the on street parking in Via degli Agrumi the installation of two Fast Park^® units, totally 510 car places has been planned.

An added value of the product is the flexibility of the design solution proposed: two separate parking areas have been linked to each other by means of a bridge connecting on a split level land the ground floor of the first unit to the upper deck of the second parking structure, granting easier accessibility.

Also in this case dismantling is possible and the site can be furthermore differently exploited. An opportunity which could be very useful for future development plans, it has been considered by the city of Messina, actually aims to recycle the modules bought for the occasion, planning and dismantling on other town areas.

Rowan Car Park Deck Ready
A new modular single deck car park without foundations has raised at Stepping Hill Hospital, located on the site of the ancient area known as "Rowan House Building".

Satisfied with the same solution adopted some four years ago at other locations within the Hospital premises the Client, Stockport NHS Foundation Trust, has relied on a Fast Park^® facility again to cope with a quick surge in parking demand, time required to install and operate the parking was only ten weeks. Quick installation was not the only one advantage to prefer Fast Park^® to other parking facilities. Fast Park^® offers additional benefits with regards to construction method, time and cost savings.

First, as hospital sites handle significant volumes of pedestrian and vehicular traffic, the specially trained Fast Park^® workforce was able to work within isolated work areas protected with hoardings and warning signs and outside peek hours for hospital traffic, minimizing disruption to normal traffic and pedestrian movement. Also delivery of materials are programmed to arrive outside peek hours and arranged in advance with the Client.

Besides, the upper deck surface has been specially treated with a polyurethane resin, an antiskid surfacing system which produces the best performance in terms of resistance and raises the commercial standards of technologic innovation and cost optimization.

The new modular parking deck serves with 120 new car places to the technical building, the plant room and some other departments nearby located.

  Technology innovation also includes some new adjustment devices to offer better manoeuvrability. It seems to be a temporary parking similar to some other ones, but it's not.
