Originally designed to meet the parking needs of an International airport authority, the system Fast Park® solves today the problem of congestion in many international airports. The evolution of the original specification now offers a wide range of benefits not available with other solutions. In the Airport Industry parking needs are growing and their capacity has to be managed dynamically.
The enhancement of the airport parking capacity could be linked with very urgent development plans but only temporary needs. With the development of the small local airports and low cost airlines, Fast Park® is a truly cost effective and real solution to long or short-term parking problems.
The structure is 100% demountable and re-usable offers many advantages, amongst which are:
Although designed as a permanent structure, planners can be assured that if given temporary permission, it can easily be removed to make way for development,
Being surface mounted there is no intervention on underground services, archaeological remains or hydrological considerations and in the case of contaminated land, there will be no disturbance: if and when installed or removed and there will remain no detrimental footprint on the environment,
Rather than to demolish and dispose of a fixed construction after use, there will remain a residual and asset value for the owner.
Fast Park® is successful in hospital environments because the installation is a compartmental progression across a car park using only a pick-up based HIAB, small fork-lift truck and hand tools and causes the least disruption to an ongoing parking operation, and just as importantly, to its revenue stream. Installation is without the disruption normally associated with traditional building. There is no use of large cranes or plant and the site is clean with very minimal noise.
Depending on operational needs a deck system can offer independent levels and areas for show cars and discreet storage.
The Fast Park® system has been successfully installed in many European railway stations offering its unique flexibility and cost-effectiveness where other solutions might not be appropriate or able to build. (i.e.: inside abandoned dismissed factories which could therefore be renewed).
The Fast Park® system has proved to be of particular benefit to transport interchanges where it has provided a temporary or intermediate solution.
Fast Park® is particularly appropriate for highly frequented and congested parking areas because the installation can be phased to ensure maximised use of existing parking operations and revenue protection, whilst also minimising disruption during installation.
